Use Hookmetry with a team

Team debugging requires a shared incident record without broadly exposing production webhook data. Hookmetry supports collaboration through account-scoped logs and time-limited debug links.

Team workflow

  1. Capture the failing event in the account that owns the endpoint.
  2. Record the provider event ID and application correlation ID.
  3. Review the payload for sensitive data before sharing.
  4. Create a short-lived debug link for the specific event when an external viewer needs access.
  5. Track application changes in your normal code-review and incident process.
  6. Revoke the link when the investigation ends.

Account ownership

Authenticated API operations for endpoints and webhook logs are scoped to the account represented by the credential. Do not circulate a personal password or bearer token as a substitute for a team access process.

Share only the necessary event

  • Prefer one event-specific link over account credentials.
  • Use the shortest useful expiration.
  • Review body, query parameters, and headers for sensitive content.
  • Avoid replaying an event from a shared incident workflow unless the target and side effects are approved.

Procurement and deployment questions
