Cancellations vs. Refunds

It's important to understand the difference between canceling your subscription and requesting a refund:

Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription, you continue to have access until the end of your current billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining days.

Example: You cancel on March 15th, but your billing cycle ends April 1st. You keep Pro access until April 1st, then downgrade to Free.

Refund

When you request a refund (within 14 days), your payment is returned and your subscription is immediately canceled. Access to paid features ends upon refund approval.

Example: You request a refund on March 8th (5 days after purchase). We approve it, refund your payment, and you immediately return to the Free plan.

Important: To cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Billing in your dashboard. To request a refund, contact our support team.

Refund Processing Time

Once your refund request is approved, we process it immediately. However, the time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider:

In rare cases, refunds may take up to 10 business days depending on your bank's processing times. If you don't see the refund after 10 days, please contact your bank or our support team.

Partial Refunds & Pro-Rating

In certain situations, we may offer partial refunds or account credits:

  • Plan Downgrades: If you downgrade from Team to Pro mid-cycle, we issue an account credit for the unused portion. This credit is applied to your next invoice.
  • Service Outages: If Hookmetry experiences significant downtime (beyond our 99.9% SLA), we may offer prorated credits based on the outage duration.
  • Billing Errors: If you were accidentally overcharged or billed incorrectly, we'll refund the difference immediately.

These credits appear in your account balance and are automatically applied to future invoices. You can view your credit balance in Settings → Billing.

Cancellation Terms

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals and your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing cycle unless a refund is approved.

For payment disputes, failed refunds, or delayed settlement updates, contact us at support@hookmetry.com and include your payment reference, transaction date, and account email for faster resolution.

Special Circumstances

We understand that exceptional situations arise. If you have extenuating circumstances that fall outside our standard refund policy, please contact our support team. We review requests on a case-by-case basis and will work with you to find a fair solution.
